Interment: 11:45 am May 27, 2011 at Saint James Cemetery, Grove St. Glastonbury, Connecticut
Evelyn Maud Elliott, of Glastonbury, daughter of the late George E. Sr. & Margaret (Megahey) Elliott, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Industrial Risk Insurance, Hartford, CT. for 49 years. Evelyn will be remembered by her sister-in-law, Anne (Scaglia) Elliott of San Leandro, CA; five nephews, their spouses, and children, Bradford & Eileen Elliott, their daughter Roslyn, of Richmond, VT, David & Debra Elliott, their children, Michael & Elizabeth, of Tolland, Timothy & Debbie Elliott of Rocky Hill, William J. Elliott Jr., his children, Sarah & Kevin, of San Leandro, CA, and Ross & Marie Elliott, their children, Steven & Rebecca, of Pioneer, CA. Along with her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her two brothers and a sister-in-law, William J. Elliott of San Leandro, CA, and George E. Jr. & Katherine (Babcock) Elliott, of Glastonbury. The Elliott family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the friends and staff at Mountain Laurel Senior Living Community of Glastonbury where Evelyn spent these last few years, Glastonbury Healthcare, The Gray Center at Hartford Hospital, along with Dr. Leach of Physicians Healthcare. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11am in St. James Episcopal Church, 2584 Main St, Glastonbury, with the Reverend Paul Habersang officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Grove St., Glastonbury, (across from the rear of the Church). There are no calling hours. Evelyn’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted toThe Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT 06033.
