Belated Story from 1964-1968

I really don't know why I decided to write this story because of how late it is being written. Debbie and I were just friends in High School. I really, really liked her.Our High School campus was more like a college campus consisting of 79 square acres and classes usually in different buildings, all of which were generally 3 stories.  I walked with her to classes most days for 4 years and we discussed many things from A-Z and I have never forgotten her because she was so very warm and "cute" ! I had recently been notified by "Classmates" to check their website for something. When I went to their site I saw Debbie's children in a photo. So I began searching for her just to say Hi, and how are you after all of these years.

After graduation I went off to the military and Vietnam as did so many others of that era. I lost touch with many of my friends that moved on in many other directions and locations. My fondest memories are almost all associated with my friends up to and including the military service. Debbie was the sweetest girl and friend to me and many others at Tech. It saddens me that I didn't find her sooner because I would have been able to say that I really appreciated her for being a kind, gentle and warm friend.

Her children should already know how wonderful their mom was from their experience with her and all I'd like to add is she brightened my life every day for 4 years.  My condolences to the family she was a beautiful person !
