Obituary for Ryan J. Flaherty

Ryan J. Flaherty, 37, loving son to James F. “Jeff” Flaherty Jr. and Donna L. Valente, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Ryan was born in Hartford, July, 16, 1980, residing in Cromwell most of his life, graduating from Cromwell High School, Class of 1998. He decided to continue his education and was currently attending Charter Oak College. Ryan loved his cats, as well as caring for animals in general and was an avid sports fan. Along with his parents, Ryan will be dearly missed by an aunt, Wendy Flaherty Albert of Cromwell; two uncles, Brian Flaherty of Palm Coast, FL and Frank Valente of Vernon; in addition to many cousins. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may make memorial donations in Ryan’s name to the Protectors of Animals, 144 Main St., East Hartford, CT 06118.
