Helen (Malcarne) Keeney, 83, of Middletown, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born on December 14, 1933 in West Hartford, daughter of the late Olindo and Silvia Malcarne. She attended and graduated from Chester High School with Honors. Prior to her retirement, Helen was employed for many years at the Hartford Insurance Co. She was a faithful communicant of St. Pius Church X in the Westfield section of Middletown. Helen deeply loved her family and cherished the time spent with them. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her husband, Edward V. Keeney, Sr. of Middletown; a daughter, Cynthia Dezi of New Hartford; a son-in-law, Michael Dezi; a son Michael Dinallo of East Haddam; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Dinallo; four adored grandchildren; Gina and Lindsay Dezi; Chelsea and Jocelyn Dinallo. She leaves a stepson, Edward V. Keeney Jr. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by a sister, Linda Della Rocco, and stepdaughter, Laura Keeney. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family, Tuesday, June 6, 2017, from 6pm-8pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Helen’s life will be Wednesday, June 7th at 10am at St. Pius X Church, Westfield St., Middletown. Entombment will follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, 17 Wickham Rd., Glastonbury. To extend online condolences and/or share a memory, please visit farleysullivan.com.
