Obituary for Stephen Flynn

Stephen  Flynn
Stephen (Steve) T. Flynn 75, loving husband of over 53 years of Diane Bosso Flynn peacefully entered into eternal rest to join his family members in Heaven on Sunday September 4, 2016. He was born in Wethersfield on December 3, 1940, son of the late Arthur T. Flynn and Florence (Klebe) Flynn. Steve resided in Wethersfield, graduated from Wethersfield High School. He retired from Southern New England Telephone Company in 1995 after over 35 years of service. He was a member of the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department for over thirty years, serving as a Lieutenant. He also served a number of years on the Wethersfield Volunteer Ambulance Association. He enjoyed his life, his extended family and friends and was most fond of his time camping at Mineral Springs Family Campground where he spent over 40 years helping keep the camp safe and secure. He was Pops to so many and was always proud of all of his “kids” accomplishments.
Most of all, Steve will be remembered for always making family and friends feel comfortable and being a devoted Husband, Dad and Poppy. Along with his beloved wife, Steve is survived by his son Charles “Chuck” Flynn and his children Brendan and Fallon of Suffield and Wethersfield, his daughter Kathleen “Kathy” her husband Christopher Brainard and their daughters Lauren and Stefaney of Rocky Hill, his son Daniel “Dan” and his son Alex of East Hartford, Karen and her wife Beth Kleina of East Hartford, and his true and faithful labs Misty and Lady. Steve is also survived by his brother Peter “Pete” Flynn of Fort Meyers Florida, and was predeceased by his sister Carol (Flynn) Orlando. His extended family was a big piece of his life and heart he was Uncle Steve to many.
The Family will receive friends and family on Thursday September 8, 2016 between 5:00-8:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
