Obituary for Antoinette A. Costardo (Palazzo)

Antoinette A. (Palazzo) Costardo, 87, of Berlin, former longtime Hartford resident and loving wife to the late Joseph Costardo, peacefully passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Meriden Center. Antoinette was born October 11, 1928 in Italy, one of three children of Michael and Christine Palazzo. She and her family immigrated to American in 1930 and resided in Hartford for many years. She was a graduate of Wethersfield High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years with Aetna Insurance Co. Antoinette was the loving mother of two sons, Ralph A. Costardo and his wife Susan, of Georgia, Michael A. Costardo and his wife Joanne, of Berlin (with whom she made her home); adored grandmother of Lauren Williams, Jeffrey Costardo, Michael Costardo, Joseph Costardo; cherished great grandmother of Nicholas, Joseph, Aubrey Costardo, Ava and Graham Williams; loving sister of John Palazzo and his wife Christine, of East Hampton. In addition to her husband and parents, Antoinette was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Palazzo. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Antoinette’s life will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Antoinette’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
