Raymond R.  Baginski, Jr.
Raymond R. Baginski, Jr., 62 of Deep River, passed away May 27, 2016 in Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Hartford on December 30, 1953, son of the late Raymond R. and Joanne (Harrington) Baginski, Sr. Ray was a graduate of Southington High School, Class of ’71, received his Bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University and his MBA from the University of Arizona. He also served in the US Army. Ray worked in Retail Marketing for many years in New York City. He was an avid sports fan, following the Red Sox and Celtics. He spent his free time playing softball, was a talented poet and loved music, especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. Ray leaves his brother, Joseph A. Baginski of Plainville, three sisters, Carol Ann McGowan of Old Saybrook, Alice Marie Badecker and her spouse, Stephy Cho of South Hampton, MA and Marybeth Lafemina of North Carolina. He also leave his nieces and nephews, Robert Lafemina, Andrew Badecker, Julie Badecker, Bryan Badecker, Scott McGowan, Kyle McGowan, Casey McGowan and Avery Harrington-Cho as well as his many friends and the staff of Riverview Lodge of Deep River. A Memorial Service celebrating Ray’s life will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow the service in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT.
