Donald E. "Don"  Reilly
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald E. “Don” Reilly. He peacefully passed away in his Wethersfield home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved father, grandfather, uncle and true best friend to all, Donald was the son of the late John Joseph and Lavina (Gaudette) Reilly. He was 1 of 11 children. Don was the heart and soul of the Reilly Clan who was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. You always knew when you had encountered Don. He was an electro plater for many years, retiring early to care for his growing family, his beloved grandsons, where he could always be found at a football or lacrosse game. Don was always involved in Dance 10 Studios and was affectionately called Poppie by everyone. He was loved by all and will be truly missed. Don leaves behind his adored children, daughters, Mary- Ellen Reilly and her husband William Hughes, of East Hampton, Patricia Reilly-Hills of Colchester; sons, Donald Reilly and his wife Melissa, of Cromwell and Thomas Reilly of Wethersfield; his beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, Connor and Reilly Hills, Jack and Quinn Reilly; his siblings, brother, Robert Reilly and his wife Jane, sisters, Beverly Strout, Joan Compson and her husband Lew, Mary-Ellen Fortier and her husband Roger; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his brothers, John, Richard, Joseph, Eugene; and sisters, Elizabeth Stocinos and his fraternal twin, Margaret (Peggy) Reilly. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. The funeral procession will form at 8:45am at Farley-Sullivan and will then proceed to Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Don's life. Interment will immediately follow the Mass in Rose Hill Memorial Park (Section 32), 580 Elm St.., Rocky Hill, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Donald E.
