Dorothy (Wasilewski) Olszewski, 87, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Stanley Olszewski, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Glastonbury Health Care. Dorothy was born January 7, 1927 in Scranton, PA, daughter to the late Anthony and Stella (Galka) Wasilewski. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family with whom she will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by. Dorothy leaves her three children, a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Deborah Olszewski of Glastonbury, two daughters and sons-in law, Rose Marie and Steven Sharkevich of Florida, Anita and Dwight Dery of East Hartford; her grandchildren, Jason and Michelle Dery, Scott and Cherie Dery, Ryan and Nicole Dery, and Ashley Sharkevich. She also leaves three great-grandsons, Caleb Dery, Gavin Dery, Colton Dery and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Nurses and staff at the Glastonbury Healthcare Center for their compassionate and loving care. Friends and relatives may call on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 5-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. The funeral procession will form at Farley-Sullivan, Monday, October 20th at 9:30am, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Dorothy’s life at 10:30am in Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Interment will follow the Mass in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery (Shrine of the Apostles Section), 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Hwy.Suite 100 Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
