Dorothy A. (Cerasoli) Montineri, 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Glastonbury Health Care Center. She was born December 25, 1924 in Barre, VT, and resided in Hartford most of her life, recently residing in Glastonbury Heathcare. She was married for 65 years to the late Joseph A. Montinieri. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Institute of Living. She spent most of her life giving to everyone, especially her loving family, who will miss her dearly.
Her son and daughter -in-law, Joseph A. and Patricia Montineri Jr. of Glastonbury; her three daughters and a son-in-law, Maria Lignana of Medford, NJ, Toni Niedzwiedz of Marlton, NJ, Ellen and Vincent Grimaldi Jr. of Newington; her brother Joseph Cerasoli and his wife Maryanne; a brother-in-law Salvatore Montinieri and a sister-in-law, who she called a sister, Vincenza DeLucco her ten cherished grandchildren, six adored great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends that will miss this special woman dearly. She is now reunited with her two sisters, Flo Conti, Lorraine Montineri, her brother, Richard Cerasoli and her sisters-in-law Shirley Cerasoli and Barbara Cerasoli and brothers –in-law, Nick Conti and John DeLucco. Dorothy will always be remembered for her great cooking, special drinks and love of everyone whose lives she touched. The family of Dorothy would like to thank the devoted staff of Glastonbury Healthcare and Masonic Hospice Team for the special love, devotion and respect they showed to Dorothy and her family. A special thanks to Magda Magnotta. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family of Dorothy on Wednesday, August 20, from 4-8pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. Funeral procession from Farley-Sullivan will commence Thursday, August 21 at 9am, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Dorothy’s life, at 10am in Holy Spirit Church, 183 Church Street, Newington. Interment will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Section S-Ext., 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield. Memorial donations can be made in memory of Dorothy Montineri to Glastonbury Healthcare Center Recreation Department, 1175 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT 06033.
