Obituary for Dorothy J. Lorenc

Dorothy J. Lorenc, 72, of Middletown, loving daughter of the late Anthony and Louise A. (Sitarz) Lorenc, passed away peacefully, Wednesday March 12, 2014 at Middlesex Hospital. She was born May 10, 1941 in Hartford. She resided at Old Mill Group Home in Middletown for over 20 years. Dorothy will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her family; a sister, Theresa Tillberg of Glastonbury; three nephews and a niece, Robert, Eric, and David Tillberg, Allison Tillberg Lorence and her husband Jo Fuches; two great nephews, Finn and Marcus Lorence and many loving cousins, especially Lynn Medeiros, who was kind to Dorothy over the years. She also leaves her Old Mill Group Home family, who will miss her dearly. The family would like to thank the Staff at Old Mill for all their love and support to Dorothy through all the years. Dorothy will be remembered for being a kind soul and her laughter. Friends may pay their respects to the family, Saturday March 15, 2014 from 9-10am at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. The funeral procession will proceed at 10am to Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Rd., East Hartford for a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Dorothy’s life. Interment will follow the Mass in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, (Section Y), 1 Cottage Grove Rd. Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested in Dorothy’s name, to DDS South Region Trustee Fund for Old Mill Group Home, c/o DDS Wallingford Directors, 35 Thorpe Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492.
