Thomas Jarm, 66, Bristol, CT, passed away at home Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born May 7, 1953, in Hartford, CT and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Bulkeley High School and the University of Connecticut. Tom retired last September from his career as a security officer at Trinity College. Tom will be remembered fondly by family and friends for his exceptional intellect, his kindness, compassion, humor, generosity and gentle soul. He was an avid reader, loved history, was a passionate sports fan and loved the outdoors. Above all else, Tom loved dogs and they loved him. He was known everywhere he went as the dog whisperer.
He is survived by his mother, Genevieve Jarm; his siblings, Paula Mazur, Janet Corey, Henry Jarm, Robert Jarm, and Jennifer Ross; and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor J. Jarm.
