Obituary for Muriel "Maude" Clement (Kenniston)

Muriel (Kenniston) Clement, “Maude”, 92, of Wethersfield, loving wife of 72 years to the late Russell P. Clement, peacefully went to be with Russell in heaven, Thursday, January 3, 2019. Muriel was born March 16, 1926 in Pittsfield, Me, one of three children to the late Bernard and Mildred (Noble) Kenniston. She graduated from Maine Central Institute, Class of 1945. Muriel was a resident of Wethersfield for 61 years.
Prior to her retirement, Muriel was employed for over 30 years by Continental Insurance.
She was a longtime member and Sunday School Teacher at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wethersfield, and a member of the Elm Tree Society. She had many hobbies which she enjoyed, to include skiing, snowmobiling, camping with family and a large group of friends for many years, painting and of course, playing cards on Fridays at the Wethersfield Community Center.
Muriel will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, her four children and their spouses, Jo Ann Matthews and Butch, of Elmore City, OK, Carol
Clement-Williamson and Gary, of Coventry, Debra Morin of Rocky Hill, and Brian Clement and Susan, of Wethersfield; seven adored grandchildren, Timothy Morin Jr.,
Erin and Jillian Williamson, Katelyn Morales and her husband Jeremy, Scott, Matthew and Jay Clement; two cherished great granddaughters, Garbrielle and Alivia Morales.

Muriel’s family will receive relatives and friends Thursday January 10, 2019 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield from 9:30 to 10:30 am at which time a Memorial Service will be held in celebration of Muriel’s life. Muriel and Russell will be reunited following the Memorial Service in Rose Hill Memorial Park (Section 25), 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. The family requests in lieu of flowers and that memorial donations be made to the POA (Protector of Animals) 144 Main St., East Hartford, CT 06118.
