Geraldine C. Mossman, 94, of Somerville, MA formerly of Wethersfield, wife of the late James Mossman, peacefully passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Jeanne Jugan Residence, Little Sisters of the Poor in Somerville, MA. Geraldine was born November 23, 1923 in Lebanon, NH, daughter of the late John and Josephine (Rushford) Charest. She grew up in Upland, PA and Longmeadow, MA. Geraldine served our country in the US Navy during World War II. She resided in the Hartford area for many years and was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years prior to her retirement.
Geraldine will be deeply missed and remembered by her son Gary Mossman of Springfield, MA; daughter Sonia Dorazio of Danvers, MA; adored grandchildren Jake and wife Shadera, Joe, Heidi, and Justin; cherished great-grandchildren; as well as her extended family.
A graveside service will take place Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:00pm in St. Michael’s Cemetery (St. Mary’s Section), 1601 State St., Springfield, MA 01109. The family requests in lieu of flowers and that memorial donations be made to Jeanne Jugan Residence, Little Sisters of the Poor, 186 Highland Ave., Somerville, MA 02143.
