Anne (Bailey) Davis, 89, of Glastonbury, loving wife of the late James E. Davis Jr., peacefully passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in St. Francis Hospital. Anne was born August 11, 1928 in Midway, Alabama, daughter of the late A. Cleveland and Liz Victoria (Washburn) Bailey. She attended and graduated from the Brent, Alabama school system. She continued her education at Hillyer College (University of Hartford). Anne was a very giving person who never lost her Southern Charm. She loved to travel and had a fondness for visiting the casinos. She was a well-known waitress at many local restaurants.
Anne will be forever missed by her loving family, three sons, James E. Davis III and his wife Laura Davis of Texas, Jeff Davis of South Windsor, Larry Doughty of Erie, PA; a daughter-in-law Tami Davis of Coventry; seven adored grandchildren, Heather Davis, Amanda Davis, Nicole Davis, Kaela Mercury Davis, Amy Davis, Katelyn Lee Ann Cave, Logan Cave and Troy Davis; two cherished great grandchildren Daegan and Arabella. In addition to her husband and parents, Anne was predeceased by her sister Bernice Stokes.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury from 9-10am, at which time a service of remembrance will be celebrated in the funeral home.
