Obituary for Evelyn Dietzer (Punkunus)

Evelyn (Punkunus) Dietzer, wife of James Dietzer of Hebron, passed away June 20, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Krakauske) Punkunus on November 23, 1939. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Evelyn was actively involved in supporting the interests and activities of her children and grandchildren. She particularly enjoyed time with her family, caring for animals, discussing politics and spending time in Danville, VT. Until her retirement she worked in the Personnel Department for the City of New Britain as a Secretary. Besides her husband of 53 years, Evelyn leaves her two daughters and son, Debbie Dietzerand her husband Greg Kulak of Glastonbury, Jayme Sullivan and her husband Brian, of Hebron and Kurt Dietzer of Hebron. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob and Juliana Kulak and Keira Sullivan, and her brother Richard Punkunus, of Berlin. The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregiver, Yolanda Morgan as well as to the Middlesex Hospital Home Hospice. Friends may call on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 amat the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. A Memorial service celebrating Evelyn’s life will take place at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Gilead Cemetery, Hebron.
