Obituary for Thomas Cunningham

Thomas Cunningham
Thomas Cunningham, 58, of Marlborough, husband of Catherine (Cianci) Cunningham, passed away peacefully with his family by his side January 6, 2018. Born December 31, 1959, in Hartford, he was the son of the late Richard and Rose (Piscottano) Cunningham. Prior to his retirement from Rogo Distributors as a truck driver, he was an active member of Teamsters Local 1035 and a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. Tom loved the outdoors, woodworking and was known as the “voice of RHAM High School Football” as a volunteer announcer of the games for many years. Most of all, he loved being with family and friends.
Tom is survived by his high-school sweetheart and wife of 33 years, Cathy, and their two sons, Joseph and Kyle Cunningham. He also leaves behind 5 siblings: Diana Cunningham, Linda Cunningham, Marty Cunningham, Cheryl Parrott and Richard Cunningham, as well as Richard’s wife, Corinne, and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

We will miss his laughter and his positive, brave spirit. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday January 11, 2018 from 4:00 -7:00 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass celebrating Tom’s life will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00 am in Christ the King Parish at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 3 International Dr., Suite 200 Rye Brook, NY 10573 and Working on Walking at www.workingonwalking.org.
