Joseph W. "Joe"  Elnisky
Joseph “Joe” W. Elnisky, 74, of Old Lyme, formerly of Glastonbury, son of the late Joseph F. and Mary (Bunk) Elnisky passed away Monday evening 7/3/2017. Joe graduated Glastonbury High School and Porter School of Engineering Design. He attended the University of Hartford for further Engineering Studies. Joe worked and retired from Emhart Corp. He was an active member of the Glastonbury Elks # 2202, where he held several offices, culminating with being elected Exalted Ruler for the 1974/1975 term. Joe served the Town of Old Lyme as a member of the first ADA Committee. Joe had a very active social life and loved entertaining his friends at the beach and volunteering and participating as an active rider at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding. A loving and devoted husband, step-father and step-grandfather, Joe is survived by his wife Sandra; Aunt, Sister Mary Clare Elnisky of Boston, MA; stepson Charles-Paul Clemmons and wife Christine, of Henderson, NV; step-granddaughter Sarah Emily Clemmons of Henderson, NV and many cousins including Carol McGregor of Manchester, and Gail Rogers and husband John, of Glastonbury, and Kathy Chooligan of Farmington. Joseph thanks all his family and friends for a happy and enjoyable life. Thank you Pat, Terry, Karen, Carolyn, Diane and the wonderful nurses from the Middlesex Hospital Palliative Program. Calling hours will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 form 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, July 8th at 11am in St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, New London Tpke, Glastonbury. Donations can be made to High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, 36 Town Woods Rd, Old Lyme, CT 06371, or a charity of your choice.
