John D Johns, 88 of East Hartford husband of the late Jane (McAlees) Johns, passed away on 3/4/17. John was born in Hartford, son of the late Samuel and Helen Johns. John served in both the Navy and Army. To cherish his memory he leaves his children, Samuel Johns, Sharon Riley, Susan Congelosi; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. John also leaves his brother George Johns and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave. Glastonbury. The funeral will be held on Thursday March 8, 2017 at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 am in South Congregational Church, 1301 Forbes St. East Hartford.
