Guillermina (Martinez) Ortiz, 86, beloved wife of the late Juan Ortiz, peacefully passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at Bloomfield Healthcare surrounded by her loved ones. Guillermina was born June 25, 1930 in Abonito, Puerto Rico daughter to the late Carmelo and Juana (Rodriguez) Martinez. She was a devout member of St. Michael Church in Hartford for many years. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Nielson Tool & Die Co. of Hartford. Guillermina will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving and caring family, Juan Ortiz Jr. and his wife Teresa of East Hartford, Maria C. Ortiz of Cidra, P.R., Maria E. Ortiz of Vernon, Carlos Ortiz and his wife Lizette of Hartford, Luldes Ortiz of South Windsor, Lydia Agosto and her husband Angel of Hartford, Gladys Leftwich and her husband Arvid of Hartford, David Ortiz of Hartford and Jo-Anne Ortiz of Hartford; 24 adored grandchildren; 18 cherished great grandchildren; two brothers, Luciano and Faustino; four sisters, Margarita, Juanita, Marina and Concepcion; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Guillermina was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. The Ortiz family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff of Bloomfield Healthcare. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5-8pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Guillermina’s life will be held Thursday, October 27th at 10:00am in St. Michael Church, 7 Clark St. Hartford.
