Peter A. “Taki” Argitakos, 72, of Hartford, beloved husband to Anastasia “Soula” (Kalomenidis) Argitakos, peacefully passed away Friday, September 02, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Peter was born April 5, 1944 in Sparta Greece, one of six children of Argiris and Konstantina (Vahaviolios) Argitakos. He immigrated to the United States March 1968, resided in Norwalk where he met and ultimately married Soula. They resided in Norwalk until 2004 at which time they moved to Waterbury, then Bristol and finally Hartford. Peter was a successful restauranteur. He was the proprietor of the Shore Point Diner, Norwalk, Oakville Pizza, Watertown, Farmington Restaurant & Pizza, and along with his son Eddie as his partner, Francesco’s Ristorante, Hartford. He was a devout communicant of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, New Britain. Along with his wife Soula, Peter will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, a son, Argiris “Eddie” Argitakos of Hartford; a daughter and son-in-law, Konstantina “Dina” and Vincent “Vinny” Piccirillo, his three adored grandchildren, Zoi, Alexandra and Sofia, all of Port St. Lucie, FL; two sisters, Olga Lintzeris of Danbury and Voula Katsihtis in Greece. In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his brother, Stavros Argitakos and two sisters, Aliki Karkoulas and Tasia Skiadas. Friends and family may pay their respects to the family Tuesday morning September 6th from 9-10am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield with a Funeral Liturgy at 11am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 301 West Main St., New Britain 06052. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Section 35), 453 Fairfield Ave., Hartford. The family requests in lieu of flowers and that memorial donations are requested to St. George Greek Orthodox Church. To extend online condolences, please visit farleysullivan.com.
