Ana Celia Valdes, age 81, from Hartford, CT, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016.Ana is survived by her daughters, Nereida Villafane, of Hartford,CT, Sandra Gallup and her husband Rocky Gallup, of Plainville, CT , her grandchildren, Arnaldo E. Rodriguez and his wife Paola P. Parisaca, of East Hartford, CT, Jennifer A. Villafane, of New York, NY, Frederick Villafane, of New Britain, CT, and her great grandson, Maximus Rodriguez, of East Hartford, also by Octavio Hernandez, of Hartford, Federico Villafane, of Hartford, Rocky Gallup of New Britain, Donavan Gallup of New Britain, and Myia Gallup of New Britain. Ana was born on March 17, 1935 in Manati, Puerto Rico, to parents Rose Maria Maisonet Serra and Federico Valdes Pastrada. Ana was a great family matriarch and a loving mother and grandmother. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Ana’s life will be held Thursday August 25, 2016 at 10:00am in St. Peter Church, 160 Main St. Hartford, CT 06103. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield, CT 06002. Friends may call on the family from 9:00am to 10:00am at the church.
