Luis A,  Quiñones Sr
Luis A. Quiñones Sr., 71, of Hartford, loving husband of Carmelita (Cruz) Quiñones, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in St. Francis Hospital. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, son of the late Felix and Carmen (Martinez) Quiñones, he lived in Hartford for many years. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Machinist for Colt Firearms Company. In addition to his wife Carmelita, Luis leaves his son Luis A. Quiñones Jr., his wife Evelyn (Vicente) Quiñones and their children, Priscilla Quiñones, Anthony Rodríguez, Nicholas Quiñones and Christian Quiñones of Manchester. His other son, Angel L. Quiñones of Hartford and daughter, Chandranni Quiñones, husband Pedro Ruiz and their children, Cesar Ruiz Quiñones and Casandra Ruiz Quiñones of Windsor. He also leaves his two sisters, Carmita and Concepción Quiñones and his three brothers, Felix, Heriberto and Wilfredo Quiñones, several nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Toby.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 9am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart Church, 49 Winthrop St., Hartford, CT. Friends and relatives may call on the family onThursday, October 23, from 5-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd. Bloomfield.
