Obituary for Mae "Bunny" Johnson (Pollard)

Print
Mae “Bunny” (Pollard) Johnson, 67, of South Windsor, wife to the late Frederick “Fred” W. Johnson, peacefully went to be with Fred in heaven, during the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Bunny was born on March 15, 1951 and was raised in Glastonbury and South Windsor, one of seven children to the late Gordon A. Pollard, Sr. and Mae (Islieb) Pollard. She had graduated from South Windsor High School. She owned and operated a secretarial business and was very talented at typing and writing. Bunny had a love of antiques and collectibles and the ocean and collecting seashells. She was also very interested in Archeology, during a dig on her property in Westbrook, which led her to become a member of the Friends of the Office of State Archeology (FOSA) where she formerly held the Secretary position. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
Bunny will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family; her daughter, Carissa Madonna of Kensington; three siblings, Joanne Corcoran of Mansfield, Joseph Pollard of Bolton, and Tammy Coffey in Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Bunny was predeceased by three brothers, Gordon Pollard, Jr., Steven Pollard, and Charles “Chrissy” Pollard.
Friends and relatives may join the family Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm for a graveside service in Green Cemetery, 99 Hubbard Street in Glastonbury. To extend online condolences and/or share a memory, please visit farleysullivan.com.
