Obituary for Evelyn Louise "Honey" Preli (Plukas)

Evelyn Louise "Honey" Preli (Plukas)
Evelyn Louise “Honey” Preli, 84, of Glastonbury, was a ‘wonderful lady’ married to Francis for 64 years. Honey passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 of Alzheimer’s at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to Dr. Joseph Martin and Grace (Abel) Plukas, where she experienced a memorable childhood. Honey and Fran resided in Glastonbury for 61 years where they raised four children: Kenneth Bart, and his wife Rona; Lynne Grace; Elizabeth Marie and her partner Michael Dibble; Jane Louise and her partner Gary Campbell. She also leaves two grandchildren: Stephanie Lynne and Robert Bart, her sister-in-law Anna Plukas and brother-in-law Fritz DelMastro, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Dr. Joseph Plukas and William Plukas and her sister, Elaine Shane. Honey was an artist – a photographer and watercolor painter of the natural world she loved. She saw beauty in every living thing. Evelyn was a member of the Connecticut Watercolor Society. She was a talented seamstress, knitter and master apple pie maker. The family thanks Evelyn’s daughter Elizabeth and Audrey Wilson for their years of devoted and loving care.
