Obituary for Vanessa Dumas Console

Vanessa Dumas Console, 51, beloved mother of Andrew John “AJ” and Serena Console, all of Wethersfield, passed peacefully at home on Friday, May 25, 2018. A lifelong resident, Vanessa graduated from Wethersfield High School and the University of Connecticut. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, but she most loved being a mother to her children. She was so proud of them and their accomplishments. Vanessa always had a smile or kind word for those in need and befriended all. She was a lover of animals and a creative artist. In addition to her children, she will be missed by her mother, Stamatia “Stem” Dumas with whom she lived, her sisters Pandora and her husband John (Niantic), Dana and her husband Tim (Wethersfield), her brother Ted and his wife Nhu (Fairfax, VA). She also leaves her doted upon nieces Diana (and husband Andrey and newborn son Jake), Alexandra, Tori, Brianna, Kelsey, Siana and Isla. She was predeceased by her father, Constantine “Gus” Dumas.
Friends and relatives may call on the family Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield from 3-7pm, with a Trisayion Service at 6:30pm. A Private Funeral Liturgy celebrating Vanessa’s life will be held in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, with the Rev. Dr. George Zugravu officiating.
