David J. Urgo, 71, of Cromwell, husband of Lucy (Padilla) Urgo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family May 16, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford on April 11, 1947, son of Elsie (Beaudette) Urgo and the late Saverio “Sam” Urgo. David was a graduate of Wethersfield High School after which he served in the US Air Force. He later was a District Manager for Harte-Hanks, AA Transportation and finally a Supervisor for Secure That Security at Coca-Cola in East Hartford. David was known as a hard worker and he liked to spend time with his family and friends. Besides his wife and mother, David leaves his son Ian Urgo and his life partner Connie Carmona of Colchester, daughter Amity Urgo of Middletown, four brothers and a sister, Dennis Urgo and his wife Kendyl of South Carolina, Thomas Urgo and his wife Janet of Columbia, John Urgo and his wife Ada of Middletown, Susan Urgo of East Hartford and William Urgo and his wife Tracy of Glastonbury. He also leaves his grandson T.J Hendron and his best friends for 50-years Bob and Joanne Pelletier.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating David’s life will be held on Monday May 21, 2018 at 10:00 am in Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
