Obituary for Mary Wall (Fenton)

Mary (Fenton) Wall, 95, of Glastonbury, formerly of Wethersfield, loving wife to the late James F. Wall, peacefully passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018. Mary was born May 3, 1922 and raised in Hartford, daughter to the late Joseph F. and Elizabeth (Connor) Fenton. She graduated from Hartford High and Morse College. After graduation she was employed at The Hartford Times, where she met her husband, Jim. She later worked with Jim as Treasurer at CSW Plastics Types / ADS, Inc., and was an avid golfer, and longstanding member of the Wethersfield Country Club. She loved swimming, the beach and their trips to Newport, St Thomas and Naples. After retiring, she took a position with the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Homes for many years. Mary enjoyed her spare time with interior design projects, flower gardening and creating award winning crewel pieces. She spent a lot of time in the NY City Fashion District, with her sister Betty, exploring the designer shops. She will be deeply missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Doreen; a sister Betty Blumenauer; and two adored granddaughters and their husbands: Libby and Jacob Szabo; Whitney and Liam Sweeney, and their son, Rory, Mary’s great grandson, along with her niece Mary Ramsey and nephew Joe Blumenauer. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family Friday morning, May 4, 2018 from 9:00-9:30am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield.
