Condolences

Condolence From: Sue Friedman Vinick
Condolence: Coming home to CT, I decided to look up Betty. That’s when I learned of her passing. I did a few shows with Betty in the early 1980’s and we shared a lot of common theatre friends. Though it has been a very long time, Betty made a lasting impression. I will never ever forget her. I am sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Dear Louie and John -- How very sad we were to hear of Betty's illness and passing! Her obituary revealed things we didn't know. We knew she was a gifted theatre talent but had no idea to what extent. We remember so well the production that you, John, and your mother worked on with the Theatre for the Handicapped in Belfast. We were absolutely blown away! (We hope that you are still able to use your gift/talent in similar ways.)

We really grew to love your parents so much! They amazed us with their energy, their love for the puppies, their devotion to their faith, and their friendship -- not to mention the conservatism, which we boldly shared! :) It was always a joy to see them each summer! We could hear Fox News through the trees and Betty and Bill, especially, had lots of conversations about ideas they both shared.

They so looked forward to your visits, John, and sitting out on the patio enjoying the incredible view. How wonderful that you shared music and the theatre, as well as your familial ties. I don't have to tell you that she loved you VERY MUCH!! and was so proud of you! I know it gave them great peace to know that you were handling their affairs when they no longer could do it.

When you come again to Maine, we hope you will come by.

Love and prayers for you and your dear Louie. We will get a written note off to him. toni and bill

Your eulogy at your mother's services were so beautiful -- and contained the humor she would have loved. A wonderful tribute!

Condolence: I forwarded the obituary to Deerfield Valley News in West Dover, VT. They have published it there as well.

I have fond memories of visiting Betty in Glastonbury, CT, discussing theatre and early PCs.

Condolence: I was very sorry to see the news of Betty's passing. I worked with her at Little Theatre of Manchester in the early '70's and very much enjoyed the experience. My sincere condolences to the family.
