Stephen  Holota
Stephen Holota, 70, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, husband of Cynthia (Evans) Holota, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Stephen was born on January 2, 1948 in Germany son of Valentina (Wolyk) Holota and the late Wasyl Holota. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a signal corpsman. Prior to his retirement, Stephen worked for Bell South as a digital technician for 37 years, spending his leisure time on the golf course. Stephen worked diligently to become a United States citizen to which he was very proud of.
Along with his wife and mother, Stephen leaves; his sons, William “Billy” Holota and his wife Renee of Bolton, Thomas “TJ” Holota; his step-daughters, Allison Parsons and her husband Daniel of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Sara Cristello and her husband Nick of Neptune Beach, Florida, his grandchildren, Samantha, Riley, Jacob, Brooke, Makenna, Bryce, Curren, Carson and Koa; his sister Natalie Bradley and her husband, James, of Marlborough. He also leaves; his brothers and sisters-in law, Dennis Raposa, Henry and Jackie Evans, Laurie and Anthony Bibbins, Beverly Chitim and numerous, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Stephen was predeceased by his sister Olga (Holota) Raposa.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12noon at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT 06033, with Father Cyril Manolev officiating. Calling hours will be Saturday morning, February 3, 2018, prior to the service from 10am to 12pm. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
