Obituary for Frances Mediate
Frances Mediate, 80, beloved mother of Sarah Melia, and grandmother of Thomas, Margaret and Gregory Kimball, peacefully passed away Monday, January 15, 2018. Born in Stamford May 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Domenick and Nellie (Angotto) Mediate of Riverside. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Frances spent her early years in Stamford and Greenwich, with the last seven years in Middletown. She had a love for life, the Lord Jesus and music. Not a day went by that she didn’t sing. Frances had a persistent persevering spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, a grateful compassionate heart and a love of children. We will miss her greatly, and are grateful to know her spirit shines with us each day.
A Tribute to Frances’ life will be celebrated Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10am in the Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church, 511 Maple St., Wethersfield. Entombment will follow the Tribute in St. Mary-Putnam Cemetery, 399 North St., Greenwich, CT 06830. Memorial donations are suggested to the ABC Women’s Center, 180 East Main St., Middletown, CT 06457 in lieu of flowers. The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield has been entrusted with Frances’ funeral arrangements.
