Evelyn (Dalton) Hendricks, 88, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Scranton, PA, daughter of the late Stanley and Monica (Kavalenos) Dalton on August 27, 1929. Prior to her retirement, Evelyn was a Supervisor at Product Development Corporation for over 35 years. She loved to cook a feast while listening to Polka and would even be known to invite strangers to her holiday meals. She was a member of the Polish National Home in Hartford and a Parishioner at St. Francis Church of Torrington. She was also a frequent visitor of the Lourdes Shrine where she would enjoy doing the stations of the cross.
Evelyn, while quiet, was known to have the presence of the Boss Lady. She is survived by her children, Richard Krepcio and his wife Cathy of Colchester, Michael Hendricks of Torrington, Patricia Dwyer and her husband James of Old Saybrook and Susan Hendricks of Vernon. She also leaves a sister, Gertrude Carola and her husband Nicholas, a dear friend George Fugedi and 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was predeceased first by her husband Edmund Francis Krepcio and later by Leroy Hendricks, her son Edmund Krepcio and her grandson Joshua Dwyer.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. Friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home.
