Condolence From: John Knapp
Condolence: I have said it a million times and I will say it once more for all to see and hear: if every school in America had a Johnny, our country would be a much better place. I am so thankful that MY high school had this Johnny! The man connected with every kid that walked through those doors. Race, religion, socioeconomic background.....made no difference- Johnny connected with and was loved by ALL. I recently lost my father and had to take several days off so it saddens me to not be able to attend on Wednesday morning. So I had to express my condolences to his family and thank them for sharing Johnny with us for so many year. WHS and the town of Wethersfield are a better place because of him and he is irreplaceable. Johnny will be forever remembered and missed.

Condolence: I remember John Since I was in middle school i would go to the school and the first person I would see is him with his smile being so joyful with his greetings. I would also see him most summers at mill woods park in Wethersfield making sure all was well, One day he offered me a ride in the golf cart and we rode across the park him giving me a tour. Last year I first got to see him at the high school as a freshmen he would be postive and happy to see all the childern. I'll miss you Johnny may you rest in peace.

Condolence: John's Family---Would see John at High School sporting events and at Millwoods Mens Softball games and in recent years at Little League games. He had the gift of gab and was a great story teller. What you saw was what you got---just a good guy who commanded respect. A great loss for everyone.Going to be a tough act for anyone to follow. I'd say rest in peace but I don't think John knew how to rest-he loved to be on the go.

Condolence From: a friend
Condolence: I first met John as he was keeping Wethersfield High safe. His friendliness and gentle ways covered a keen eye and alertness while engaged in conversation. John, "a man for all seasons" will remain in the halls of the high school through the years. No-one can replace him!! So sorry for your loss; and may your cherished memories help you find solace in his absence.
