Kevin J.  Clancy
Kevin J. Clancy, 69, of West Hartford, passed away Monday July 3, 2017 in St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Michael and Helen (McGrath) Clancy and lived in the Hartford area all of his life. He was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam era. Prior to his retirement, Kevin was a plumber for over 35 years in the Greater Hartford area. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid golfer. In a family of personalities, Kevin was the biggest. He was very proud of his sobriety of over 30 years and was an active leader in AA. Kevin leaves his son, Payton Clancy and Tanya Heacock, of Wethersfield, his former wife Barbara Clancy of Wethersfield, his brother Michael M. Clancy of Portland and his two sisters, Mary Ellyn Vicino and her husband Nicholas of Old Saybrook and Patrice Mellozzo and her husband Richard of Great Barrington, MA. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends. Friends may call on Saturday July 8, 2017 from 8:30 – 9:30 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. Burial will be private. To extend online condolences, please visit Farleysullivan.com.
