Obituary for Anthony D. Ustanowski

Anthony D. Ustanowski of Rocky Hill, beloved husband of Betty Ann peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Born in Carnegie, PA on January 12th, son of the late Catherine (Yablonski) Ustanowski and Anthony Ustanowski. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Anthony was a college graduate and held administrative positions at the Prentice Corporation and Pratt & Whitney Machine & Tool Company. He volunteered for Junior Achievement and was an officer in the American Ukrainian Club. Anthony was a communicant of the Catholic Church; he enjoyed building numerous things in and around the house, cooking gourmet meals, becoming a bronze life master at bridge, gardening, doing stain glass décor, bowling, painting pictures and camera work. He was the perfect husband, as well as putting others needs before his own. Surviving Anthony are his wife Betty Ann; two sisters in law, Lee Ustanowski and Lois Ustanowski; two nephews, John Robertson and Tim Ustanowski; four nieces, Kathy Ustanowski, Karen Reekliff, Linda Beaudoin and Donna Connor. In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his three brothers and two sisters, Joseph, Leo and John Ustanowski, Sophie Karbonic and Ann Robertson. Family and friends may call Monday, June 19, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 20th at 10am in St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Interment will follow the Mass with full military honors in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery (Section 19), 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield.
