Cristina Colon Bolorin, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She was born July 6, 1927 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Colon and Paola Gonzalez. She was a known as a strong willed business woman who ran her own business and enjoyed helping others in the community. On December 23, 1973, she moved to Hartford, CT to build a better foundation for her family. Cristina was blessed with a large and loving family. A great mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend she is predeceased by her husband Roberto Santos, and her sisters Ramona Colon and Josefa Colon. She leaves behind her 16 children, Anna Sanchez, Reinaldo Bolorin, Miguel Bolorin, Maximino Bolorin, Narciso Bolorin, Tomas Bolorin, Ada Vasquez, George Bolorin, David Bolorin, Elena Bolorin, Zoraida Ferguson, Samuel Bolorin, Eduardo Bolorin, Ismael Bolorin, Evelyn Bolorin, Melvin Bolorin; 59 loving grandchildren, her sisters Maria Colon and Carmen Mercado, many great-grandchildren and Raul Garcia, who was raised as a part of the family. Loved by many, her funny, vibrant and caring ways will be missed by an endless amount of friends and family.
