Obituary for Paul Drury

Paul K. Drury, 54, of Glastonbury, passed away on March 2, 2017, after a long illness. Born May 2, 1962, to the late Robert and Louis (Farrell) Drury, Paul spent his childhood in Glastonbury, graduating from Glastonbury High School in 1980. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Connecticut State University, Paul worked as a computer systems expert in the auto parts industry for many years in Connecticut, Texas and Florida. Paul was known for his inquisitive nature, sharp sense of humor and ability to engage easily in conversations on a wide range of subjects – from global politics and American history to NASCAR and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Paul will be remembered fondly by his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Margaret Drury, and his nieces and nephews Sean, Isabella, Liam, and Rebecca Drury, of Shelton; his cousins John Burgess and Molly (Holmes) Waterbury, and Dorothy Holmes of Waterbury; and his many cousins from the Farrell and O’Connell families. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother John. Paul’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Farley Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave, Glastonbury, on Friday March 10, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury. Interment will follow in the family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery (Section 1), Hebron Ave at the corner of Wickham Rd, Glastonbury.
