Marguerite Christine (Burke) Rodrigue, 71, of Rocky Hill, former long time Wethersfield resident, loving wife of Jacques H. Rodrigue, peacefully passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Marguerite was born May 18, 1945, and raised in Lewiston, ME, daughter of the late Robert and Noelle (Audet) Burke. She was a graduate of St. Dominic Academy in Lewiston, Class of 1963,. She and Jacques were devout parishioners of Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Prior to her retirement, Marguerite was employed for many years with the State of Connecticut, in the Comptroller’s office as an Administrative Assistant. Marguerite loved to travel, visit the casinos. Most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother. Along with her husband Jacques, Marguerite will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Melissa Rodrigue of East Berlin; four brothers and two sisters, Ronnie Burke, Bobby Burke, Ricky Burke, Mike Burke, Lillian Burke and Constance Goding all of Lewiston, ME; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Suzanne Rodrigue, Jean-Marc and Lucienne Rodrigue, Raymonde and Clermont Labonte, Rita Rodrigue, Louise Rodrigue, Nicole Rodrigue; five adored grandchildren, Ryson, Alexandria, Kayla, Caley and Joey; a special friend, Bill Dessin of Wethersfield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by a step son Drew Dessin and a brother-in-law, Rejean Rodrigue. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Rodrigue family Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. The funeral will be held at 9:15am Saturday, February 25, 2017 from funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Marguerite’s life at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
