Obituary for Helen V. Tremblay (Yotanta)

Helen V. Tremblay, 92, of Hartford beloved wife of the late Eugene C.Tremblay died Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Yotanta and was a lifelong resident. Helen received her R N from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and worked as a psychiatric nurse prior to her marriage. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her fabulous Sunday dinners where everyone was always welcome. Helen was an avid fan of the UConn Huskies and the New York Yankees.
She is survived by her three daughters, Eileen A. Ciccone and her husband Dr. Eugene Ciccone of Middletown, Jean Marie Pomeroy and her husband Fred of Granby, and Donna L. Crane and her husband Douglas of East Haddam, four grand children, Melissa Eatherly and her husband Chase, Jessica Tremblay and her fiancé Brian Wood, Donald Pomeroy and his girlfriend Ashlynn Selner, and Valerie Pomeroy and two great grand children, William and Hudson Eatherly. Helen also leaves her nephew Charles Balnius, her niece Patricia Kopcsak and her husband William and their children Sara, Keith and Justin, her cousin Nancy LaRoche, and her extended family members, Heidi Lupini and her husband Dr. Stephen Lupini and their daughters Casey and Taylor and her dear friend and neighbor Barbara Stott. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Michael A. Tremblay, her sister Anne Balnius, her brother Victor Yotanta and her brother-in-law Robert Tremblay. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Hermae Reece-Martin, Carmen Lopez, and Jacinta Dupre.
The funeral will be held Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 9:15 am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, 53 Capitol Ave., Hartford, 06106. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Broadbrook. Friends may call at the funeral home,Tuesday November 1, from 5-8 pm. Contributions in Helen's memory may be made to Holy Trinity Church.
