Obituary for Leona Ann Nettleton

Leona Ann Nettleton, 99, of Wethersfield, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 in Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late George and Anna (McAvey) Nettleton, she lived in Wethersfield for many years. Prior to her retirement, Leona was a supervisor for SNET. She was a member of the Pioneer Club, volunteered with Meals on Wheels and loved bowling. Leona leaves a sister, Ann Boyington, of Tolland, 3 nieces, Deborah Duval and her husband Robert of Rocky Hill, Sue DiNicola and her husband Anthony of Old Lyme and Linda Kmiec and her husband Steven of Coventry, 3 nephews David Rhodes of California, Terrence DeRosa and his wife Beverly of Florida and Robert DeRosa and his wife Jacqueline of Tolland, 11 great nieces and great nephews, 3 great-great nieces and nephews, several cousins and a very dear longtime friend, Mrs. Mame Jensen. Besides her parents Leona was predeceased by her brothers George and Charles Nettleton and her sister May Nettleton.
Friends may call on the family Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2-4pm at The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, CT. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church, 56 Hartford Ave. Wethersfield, CT. All attendees are asked to go directly to church.
