Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nancy Jeske can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Nancy A. Jeske

Nancy Althea (Busque) Jeske of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of Jan “John” Jeske, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Nancy was born in May 7th 1928 in Augusta, ME, one of ten children to Arthur and Sidney Busque. She was raised in Maine as a child, and later attended Bulkeley High School in Hartford. She worked for G. Fox & Co. for 21years. In 1989, Nancy and John retired to Melbourne, Florida and in 1992 when John passed away she returned to CT to be with her children. Nancy touched many lives and will be missed and remembered by her loving family; two sons, Edward Jeske and his wife Debbie, of Newington, Andrew Jeske of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Sydney Jeske of Rocky Hill, with whom Nancy later made her home. Nancy also had four brothers, Dale Busque and his wife Lorraine, of Andover CT, Harvey Laberge in Florida, Thomas Laberge in Oregon and Arthur Busque, three sisters, Dolores Walbaum of Zellwood, FL, Mary Hoffman and her husband Bob of Branford CT, Pam and her husband Jerry Hunter in Oregon; as well as her adored and cherished granddaughter Danielle Jeske of Newington, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by a sister and brother, Paula Vincenzo and Lewis Busque. The Jeske family wish to thank her caregivers: Kozeta, Marsela and the hospice nurses for the wonderful care and compassion given to Nancy during her home stay. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 4-6pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in Nancy’s name to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, 85 Retreat Ave., Hartford, CT 06106.
