Blanche Dempsey Yokow, beloved wife of the late John Yokow of Wethersfield, entered into eternal life, Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at her home. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late J. Lester and Mary (Yorkovic) Dempsey. Blanche retired after many years as a Unit Secretary with Hartford Hospital. Sharing in their loss are her son, William M. Yokow and his wife Joan M. Yokow of Windsor as well as her grandson, John N. Yokow and granddaughter, Jocelyn L. Yokow both of Windsor, and nephew, Timothy Tracy and niece, Kay Tracy both of Phoenix, AZ, nephew, John Dempsey of Easton, CT, her niece Dori Ann Tracy of Texas and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her husband, John and her parents, Blanche was predeceased by her sister, Dolores Tracy and her brother, Lester Dempsey. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 9:15am from the Farley- Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Friends and relatives may call on the family TODAY, June 12, 2009 between 3-7pm at the Funeral Home.
