Nancy H. Emory, 74, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Glastonbury, beloved wife of 32 years to Donald L. Emory, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. Nancy was born October 18, 1936, and raised in Glastonbury, was a graduate of Glastonbury High School. She worked her entire career in the banking industry in Glastonbury. Nancy enjoyed golfing very much, which later led her to become the Membership President of Glastonbury Hills Country Club along with being a member of the Southern New England Women's Golf Association. In addition she was a member of the Ladies Elks Club, Lodge #2202 in Glastonbury. She and Donald relocated to Florida in 1998 to Bay Ridge, where she became the President of Bay Ridge Homeowners Association of River Wood Golf Club. She was a wonderful wife, step-mother, step-grandmother and step-great-grandmother and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her. In addition to her loving husband Donald, Nancy will be fondly remembered by her three step-daughters, Cheryl Stomberg and Susan Emory both of Colchester, Linda Addington of Marlborough; step-son, Stephen Emory of Portland; nine step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Friday October 14, 2011, 12:00noon in the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. Interment will follow in Green Cemetery, Hubbard St. Glastonbury. Nancy’s family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home, Friday morning, October 14, from 10:00am to 12:00noon.
