Steven Allen Pollard, 50, of South Windsor, died suddenly February 28, 2009. He was born on January 19, 1959 in Hartford. He is survived by his fiance Dawn Chapman, his one and only loving daughter Katie Pollard, his mother Mae (Islieb) Pollard, two brothers Gordon Pollard Jr. and Joseph Pollard, three sisters Mae Johnson, Joanne Corcoran and Tammy Coffey, several nieces and nephews, his lifelong friend Joseph Gimmartino Jr. and many other friends. He is predeceased by his father Gordon Arnold Pollard and a brother Charles Pollard. Steve was a mechanic and handyman. In his youth he played drums and was trained at the Hartford Conservatory. His family and friends were the world to him. He readily fixed their cars listening to music as he worked and good-heartedly helped with their projects and chores with a smile. Steve was a fun-loving, adventuresome daredevil, who also enjoyed water skiing and fishing with Joe and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Steve will be sadly missed. Steve’s family will receive relatives and friends at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave, Glastonbury, Friday, March 6, 2009 from 4:30-6:30 pm. A Memorial Service celebrating Steven’s life will begin at 6:30pm. Burial will be at the family’s convenience. |
