Marian T. Heldmann, 89, a resident of Wethersfield for over 56 years entered into the Lord’s embrace, Sunday, February 15, 2009. Born in Hartford she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (DeFren) Heldmann. A Communicant of the Church of The Incarnation in Wethersfield she also was a member of the Church of The Incarnation Woman’s Club. Marian retired in 1982 from the Cigna Insurance Co, after 42 years. She loved to read and took great pleasure in rooting for the UCONN woman’s basketball team as well as solving crossword puzzles. Marian leaves her sisters-in-law; Mary Heldmann of Rocky Hill, and Bette Diane Heldmann of Glastonbury and many nieces and nephews to share in their loss. She was predeceased by her five brothers; George, Joseph, William, Ernest and Henry Heldmann as well as her three sisters; Harriet Heldmann, Helena Michalek and Catherine Podann. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring staff at the Atria Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill. Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 9:30am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Church of The Incarnation, 544 Prospect St, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield. Friends and relatives may call on the family, Wednesday morning February 18, from 8:30- 9:30 am at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers friends are asked to consider memorial donations to either the Church of The Incarnation, 544 Prospect St, Wethersfield, CT. 06109 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
