Helen E. (Rudy) Pangonis, 85, wife of the late John Pangonis, of Glastonbury, died Thursday May 31, 2012 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Dimitro and Anna (Adamick) Rudy and lived in the area all of her life. Helen was a loving wife of 56 years, a wonderful parent and generous grandparent. She enjoyed a long career at the U S Postal Service in Hartford working in the personnel department. Helen enjoyed her grandchildren very much seldom missing the opportunity to spend time with them be it at sporting events, dance or band recitals or other activities. She leaves a daughter Karen (Pangonis) Eller and her husband Bill, their children Billy and Jill, a son-in-law George Fisher, all of Glastonbury, a sister Sophie Kachnir of East Hartford and many nieces and nephews. Helen was pre-deceased by her daughter, Debbie (Pangonis) Fisher, a sister Tessie Goldberg and 3 brothers Steve, Mike, and Paul Rudy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday June 4, 2012 at 10:00am in St. Paul Church 2577 Main St. Glastonbury, followed by burial in St. John Ukrainian Cemetery New London Turnpike, Glastonbury.
