Lois Elaine Juda, 56, of Kensington, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut after a long illness. Lois was born in Hartford and graduated from South Catholic High School. She attended Central Connecticut State University
and worked for many years as a respiratory therapist at New Britain General Hospital. Lois had been an avid skier having skied in many parts of North America and Europe. Lois was predeceased by her brother Thomas, and her parents, Stephen and Mildred Juda. She leaves a brother, Michael and his wife Patti of Simsbury, her nephews, Robert and his wife Angela of Stratford, Peter and his wife Kristin of West Hartford, and her niece, Kristen Juda of Bristol. She also leaves her “Uncle Frank”, the Rev. Francis Wright of Brooklyn, NY, and her aunts Rosemary Wright of Queens, NY and Julia Patla of Southington as well as a host of cousins and friends from “Respiratory”. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 183 Church Street, Newington, on Friday November 28, at 12:30pm. Interment will be in the family plot at Cedar Hill Cemetery (Section 27), 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. There will be calling hours preceding the Mass from 10:00-11:30am in the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, it is requested by the family that a memorial donation be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
