Thomas Decker Sisko, 23, of Wethersfield, beloved son, stepson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, died of injuries sustained from a tragic car accident that occurred early afternoon Saturday, July 9, 2011. Thomas was born, July 2, 1988 in Laguna Hills, CA. The son of Rita Decker-Parry (and her husband John) of Wethersfield and Robert F. Sisko, (and his wife Karen) of Arroyo Grande, CA. Tom attended E.B. Kennelly Elementary and Sport and Medical Sciences Academy while he and his family resided in Hartford. Tom went on to attend Temple University where, along with his studies, he participated in the Army ROTC program. In addition to being a fantastic student, Thomas actively participated in multiple sports and community activities including but not limited to: football, baseball, track and volunteer efforts at Billings Forge in Hartford before becoming a chef at Market 21. In addition to his parents and step parents, Tom’s life will be celebrated by a brother, Michael R. Sisko, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends who considered Tom family. Tom will forever be remembered and loved by all for his zest for life, loyalty and undying efforts to make everyone smile. A memorial service and reception in remembrance of Tom’s life will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011 beginning at 11am at The Bushnell Theater, 166 Capitol Ave., Hartford, CT. There are no calling hours, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
