Lucie (Sheehy) Dorman, 97, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully, Monday November 29, 2010 at Wethersfield Health Care. Born March 4, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Catherine (Tracy) Sheehy. Lucie grew up in Bristol, graduating from Bristol High School, prior to moving to Wethersfield in 1954. She was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Housing as the Administrative Assistant to the Commissioner, retiring in 1987. She was a faithful communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Wethersfield. Lucie will be fondly remembered by her family, her daughter, Tracy Dorman of Wethersfield; two nephews, Joseph Fries of Southington, and Francis Fries of Bristol; along with several grand nieces and grand nephews; and not to be forgotten, Lucie’s faithful companion, her dog Timothy. In addition to her parents, Lucie was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Fries. Tracy would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Janice Olivieri along with the Staff of Wethersfield Health Care Center, for the excellent care and compassion extended to Lucie. Committal services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10am in St. Joseph Cemetery (Section 9K), 522 Terryville Avenue, Bristol, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Lucie's life at 11am in Sacred Heart Church, 56 Hartford Avenue, Wethersfield. The family requests In lieu of flowers, and that memorial donations may be made in Lucie’s name to, Protector of Animals, P.O. Box 24, South Glastonbury, CT 06073. There are no calling hours. Lucie’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
