Terry Carroll Daly, 82, beloved wife of her childhood sweetheart, Edward F. Daly III, entered into the Lord’s embrace Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Born in Bristol, CT., daughter of the late Daniel and Ethel Tull Carroll she was one of eight children. She graduated from Bulkeley High School class of 1946. Terry was an avid golfer and was a charter member of Glastonbury Hills Country Club and a recent member of Chanticlare Golf Course. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a zest for life that was well known by all. Whether it was dancing with her husband, going to tag sales, gardening or relaxing on the deck at the lake with her neighbors, she was always very attentive with a joyous and uplifting spirit. In addition to her husband, Edward, sharing in his loss are their children, Edward F. Daly IV, Michael Ward Daly and his wife Ginny and daughters in law, Pat and Nancy Daly. Terry was blessed with five grandchildren, Edward F. Daly V and his wife, Kim, Sharon A. Daly, Jonathan T. Daly, Melissa M. Daly and Michael W. Daly Jr, and great grand daughter, Kiera Daly. She is further survived by her sister, Barbara Sheehan and her brother, Robert C. Carroll, and sisters in law, Cathy Carroll, Jane Carroll and Jean Lee. Terry was predeceased by her two sons, James Tull Daly and Robert Patrick Daly as well as her brothers, William, Dennis, and Daniel Carroll, and sisters, Mary Vignone and Ann Block and her sister in law Jean Carroll. Terry touched many people’s lives and will be missed dearly. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 30 at 9am from the Farley Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday, November 29 from 5-8pm at the Funeral Home.
